Where Ugandan heritage, NaSimbwa prints, and sustainable fashion meet
Who We Are
NaSimbwa was created in 2021 by Mathilda Nasimbwa Kigozi, after nearly five years away from the fashion world to focus on family and welcome her two boys. When she returned, she stepped back into fashion with intention, ready to embrace colour, prints, and creativity once again.
The name Nasimbwa is Mathilda's own Kkobe clan name, carrying the meaning of royalty: the perfect symbol of our mission to celebrate Ugandan culture and heritage. Many of our pieces carry Luganda names or meanings, grounding the brand even further in its cultural identity.
Our Mission
To offer women, men, and children clothing that is fun, fashionable, comfortable, affordable, and multifunctional: designed to move with you from working at home to stepping into a business meeting.
Every piece is made locally by skilled Ugandan tailors using materials sourced within East Africa, supporting fair wages and local artisans.
Our name carries the meaning of royalty, and many of our pieces carry Luganda names, grounding every design in Ugandan heritage.
Minimal stock, made-to-order options, and fair wages for every tailor: our commitment to ethical, sustainable fashion.
Our Commitment
We aim to become our customers' number one choice for sustainable, ethically made products. Our approach is intentional and evolving: fair wages for every tailor, garments crafted locally in Uganda, and minimal stock to reduce waste.
Made-to-order options help us avoid overproduction, and we continuously work to reduce our environmental footprint, so every NaSimbwa piece is made with care, culture, and consciousness.
